With a strong background in strategic leadership, community development, and sustainable funding, Samantha brings a wealth of experience to VASE as it continues to strengthen voluntary and community organisations across East Surrey.
Samantha has dedicated her career to driving social impact, fostering partnerships, and securing vital funding for nonprofit organisations. Most recently, she served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Central Surrey Voluntary Action, where she led initiatives to enhance organisational sustainability, secure grants, and develop impactful programmes that empower communities. Her expertise in stakeholder engagement, programme development, and cross-sector collaboration makes her an ideal leader to guide VASE into its next chapter.
“This is a new and exciting chapter for the sector, and I am thrilled to join VASE and work alongside dedicated volunteers, charities, and community groups to build a stronger, more resilient voluntary sector,” said Samantha. “I look forward to meeting new and existing community champions and stakeholders. Along with the VASE Board of Trustees and the staff I am looking forward to continuing to create meaningful opportunities, secure sustainable funding, and ensure that VASE and the organisations we support have the resources they need to thrive.”
Ray Wilkinson, Chair of Trustees for VASE, has over 30 years of experience supporting the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector in East Surrey and South London. He took on the role in May and welcomes Samantha’s appointment, stating:
“Samantha brings much experience in strengthening voluntary organisations and fostering positive partnerships. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving VASE’s mission forward, ensuring that charities, community groups, and social enterprises across East Surrey have the support and resources they need to flourish. We are delighted to have her on board.”
VASE looks forward to Samantha’s leadership in expanding its reach, strengthening partnerships, and championing initiatives that make a lasting difference in East Surrey.
