Free, personalised funding support for the voluntary and community sector in East Surrey

We Know Funding Can Feel Overwhelming

Finding the right funding is one of the biggest challenges facing charities, community groups, and voluntary organisations. Whether you are just starting out, trying to grow, or looking to sustain work you have already built, knowing where to begin is not always easy.

That is where we come in.

VASE offers a free, bespoke funding advice service to voluntary, community and faith sector (VCSE) organisations working across East Surrey. Our support is tailored to your organisation, your ambitions, and the communities you serve.

What We Can Help With

Our funding advice service is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you have never written a funding application before or you are looking to diversify your income streams, we can offer practical, jargon-free guidance to help you move forward with confidence.

We can support you with:

  • Identifying the right funding opportunities for your organisation
  • Understanding what funders are looking for and how to make a strong case
  • Reviewing and strengthening funding applications before you submit
  • Developing a funding strategy that supports your long-term sustainability
  • Navigating the landscape of grants, trusts, statutory funding, and more

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to funding. Our advice is shaped around your specific situation and goals.

Meet Beverly

Beverly Mann is our dedicated Funding Adviser, bringing experience and genuine commitment to supporting local VCSE organisations across the region. Beverly works for Central Surrey Voluntary Action (CSVA) and has been a trusted source of funding guidance for voluntary and community groups in Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell and Mole Valley for a number of years.

We are pleased to share that Beverly’s expertise is now available to organisations in Reigate and Banstead and Tandridge too. This expanded offer means that more groups across East Surrey can access the same high-quality, personalised support that has made such a difference elsewhere in Surrey.

Beverly works directly with organisations through one-to-one conversations, offering honest feedback, practical guidance, and clear next steps. Whether you are a small volunteer-run group or an established charity, she will take the time to understand what you need and how best to help.
