Structured, practical advice on governance, funding, HR, safeguarding and DBS.
We provide clear reliable guidance so local groups can operate confidently and sustainably.
We’re helping to shape how local authorities, health partners, and the wider VCSE work together. Our role is to act as a bridge between community groups and statutory partners. Bringing real community insight into decision-making and making sure small and medium organisations are represented. Influence, connection, and advocacy are a core part of VASE.
Do you need volunteers to help with a project, day to day tasks, supporting service users, or new members for your board of trustees? We can help you find local people who want to help.
We offer a volunteer brokerage service, promoted through our Get Volunteering website.
We can support you through the whole process, from preparing role descriptions to writing policies, ready for you to share your volunteering opportunity online.

Once your opportunity is being advertised on the website, we will share it in our newsletters to help get the word out to potential volunteers. We have a monthly Volunteering Newsletter and a quarterly Corporate Volunteering Newsletter where we share the latest volunteering opportunities, requests for support from local charities, and training opportunities for volunteers.
To sign up to our newsletters, enter your details in the ‘Stay Connected’ box below.
Attend our Volunteer Coordinator’s Forum to stay up to date with best practice, network with other volunteer managers across East Surrey, and hear from guest speakers on a range of topics. A few of the discussions we’ve had recently include forums on corporate volunteering, supported volunteering, and supporting people with a criminal record to volunteer.
Find out when the next Volunteer Coordinator Forum is on our Events page.
